Smoky party jollof with grilled croaker
₦7,500The house plate. Half croaker, fried plantain.

Party jollof, grilled croaker and pepper soup, cooked on firewood since 2009.
Ronke Adebayo opened with six tables behind a fabric shop in 2009. Today it seats 64 across two rooms and a covered yard, still cooks the jollof on firewood, and closes at 10 pm because the kitchen team goes home to Ikate. Sunday lunch is the busiest sitting of the week; book it by Friday.
Booked at 4, sat down at 7:30 exactly. The deposit came off the bill without anyone asking. Would go back for the smoky party jollof with grilled croaker alone.
Food as good as everyone says. Service slowed after 9 when the room filled, but nobody rushed us out.
